DANCE LEVELS


You need no dance experience to participate in our Urban Dance Camp.

The following descriptions about level are for choosing the right classes for our camps.

DANCESTYLES

Besides the main urban styles, you can choose from a wide range of dance classes throughout the camp. Workshops include Hip Hop, Dancehall, Reggaetón, Afrobeat, Girly Style, Lady Style, Twerk, Jazz & Modern Dance, and fusion styles — giving you the freedom to create your own camp experience based on your interests and level.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop is energetic, rhythmic, and grounded. It focuses on groove, musicality, and attitude, combining sharp moves with relaxed flow. The style is expressive, powerful, and danced by everyone.

Girly Hip Hop

Girly Hip Hop blends Hip Hop grooves with feminine expression, attitude, and confidence. It’s playful, powerful, and focuses on lines, hips, and personal style. A fun and empowering class.

Dancehall

Dancehall comes from Jamaica and is all about vibes, groove, and attitude. It focuses on hips, pelvis, and strong body control. The style is energetic, playful, and full of character.

Reggaetón

Reggaetón is the Latin world’s answer to Hip Hop, but softer and more fluid. The focus is on hips and shoulders, with lots of shaking and groove. It’s hot, sweaty, and danced by both women and men.

Afrobeat

Afrobeat is joyful, grounded, and rhythm-driven. The movement comes from African dance traditions and focuses on flow, bounce, and full-body coordination. High energy and great vibes.

 

Brazilian Funk

Brazilian Funk is fast, raw, and powerful. It focuses on rhythm, hips, legs, and sharp accents. The style is energetic, playful, and full of attitude.

K-Pop

K-Pop combines Hip Hop, commercial dance, and sharp choreography. It focuses on precision, musicality, and performance. Fun, dynamic, and very expressive.

Commercial Dance

Commercial Dance is the style you see in music videos and on stage. It blends different urban styles with performance, confidence, and strong musicality.

Show Dance

Show Dance is expressive and performance-focused. It combines technique, storytelling, and musical interpretation, often with dramatic movements and stage presence.

DanceMix

DanceMix is a fun fusion of different styles. Expect variety, high energy, and creativity. Perfect if you love mixing genres and exploring new movements.

Twerk Technique

Twerk Technique focuses on control, strength, and isolation of the hips and lower body. It’s technical, challenging, and empowering — and guaranteed to make you sweat.

Heels

Heels is about confidence, power, and elegance. The style focuses on posture, lines, attitude, and controlled movement — danced in heels with strong feminine energy.

Afro & Rumba

Afro & Rumba blends Afro rhythms with Cuban Rumba traditions. The style is grounded, expressive, and rhythmic, focusing on body awareness and connection to the music.

Bachata

Bachata is a smooth and musical partner dance with focus on hips, connection, and flow. It’s sensual, social, and danced by both beginners and experienced dancers.

Salsa Funk

Salsa Funk mixes salsa-inspired movement with urban grooves and attitude. A playful fusion style that combines rhythm, flow, and modern energy.

Chair Dance

Chair Dance is creative and expressive, using a chair as part of the choreography. It focuses on flow, control, and confidence, and is both fun and empowering.

Lady Style

Lady Style focuses on feminine movement, elegance, and body awareness. It emphasizes arms, hips, posture, and expression, helping dancers build confidence and style.

Male Style

Male Style focuses on strength, groove, and masculine expression. The class works with musicality, body control, and personal style.

Modern Dance

Modern Dance is expressive and fluid. It focuses on musical interpretation, dynamics, and movement quality, allowing dancers to explore emotion and creativity.

Afro-Cuban dances. 

Orichas are the god dances, that are danced in Cuba. Every god has a characteristic, which is reflected through the dances. The Beauty goddess dance is very graceful and the Strength god powerful. It is good, if you already dance salsa, both to learn to dance the rumba and Afro-Cuban, so you get a better understandment of where the roots come from.
